Thanks to all for your very kind and loving thoughts around the San Diego fires. Our neighborhood was evacuated last night, but we stayed home (because it was clearly so safe to do so--and because a cop and a fireman told us we could). Well see today. The fire that is currently the largest in San Diego is burning one half-mile from our home. If the winds stay as is, were good. If they pick up and start blowing eastward (as they have in the last couple of minutes, actually), then we may have to leave. Well see. Anyway, thanks again for the love. Ill be doing updates on the below post on my blog whenever theyre warranted, or ... not, if my neighborhood loses power, as is likely. But were good. Everythings groovy.
