Thanks to all who have been bathing my sweet sister and new little niece in prayer! The Lord was very gracious. After a very long labor, there were complications. Had the baby been delivered at the birth center, a bad situation would have been very bad. Praise The Lord, Sarah was moved to the nearby hospital, where minutes later she delivered Elisabeth Marie Doolin. The midwife was able to deliver, as the doctor had not yet arrived in her room. The nurses were wonderful and immediately began to clear babys lungs. Mama and baby are doing well, all things considering. Little Elizabeth will remain in the hospital overnight (as will her sweet mama). She will be on oxygen as the staff continues to clear and stabilize her lungs. The biggest prayer request now is that her little lungs will be cleared enough for her breathing to normalize enough for her to eat. So far, her breathing is still not good enough for her to do so. While the labor was absolutely horrible, and poor Sarah went through a very traumatic first birth, the Lords timing was perfect for Baby Elizabeths well-being. We are so grateful for His mercies and thank you all again for your love, prayers, and support. We dont have weight, size, or any pictures yet. Im sure that will come soon :)
