It was a lovely one indeed, a sunny day in Seattle—a long walk with the family (including Shadow off-leash), visits to EMP (a great exhibit on close-up photography, and my first visit to the Nirvana exhibit—finally!), Elliot Bay Books (an intriguing book of poetry by Steven Dunn), Everyday Music (cheap used copies of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Nashville, New York, New York—go Hawks!) and Silver Platters (a Vaseline reissue for me, and Jonah bought a 2.99 copy of Moulin Rouge, which we saw last night and I loved), and then dinner at this sushi restaurant with a twist, Wann (brie tempura, an acquired taste currently only acquired by Asher and I). And finally, Princess Cake from Hoffmans Bakery (love the marzipan). And no dialysis. Now THATS a birthday!
