Thanksgiving Day was first celebrated in 1621. To this one attended 90 Native Americans and 53 Pilgrims. It last for 3 days (thats right) and it was to celebrate the harvest in the New World. Now... It was until 1863, when, during the Civil War, that Abraham Lincoln proclaimed it as a national day to Thanksgiving and Praise the Heavenly Father. So it was set up from that moment forward to the fourth Thursday of November... So as you can read this is not a shopping holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family!!!!!!!
