Sagar asks officers to fast pace renovation work on Dastigeer Sahib Shrine SRINAGAR, JUNE 06- Directing the officers to complete the remaining works on the restoration of revered shrine of Dastigeer Sahib (RA), the Minister for Rural Development, Mr. Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that the Government is committed to ensure its completion within the stipulated time frame. The Minister was interacting with officers during his on spot review of the works being executed on the restoration work of shrine of Dastigeer Sahib (RA). He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Shah and other senior officers of JKPCC, R&B etc. The Minister said that the shrine is revered by every section of the society and our endeavor should be to ensure its early completion so that the devotees coming to pay their obeisance do their religious duties without any inconvenience. He directed the officers to work in close coordination with each other for ensuring its timely completion and emphasized on the need of adhering to the traditional architectural patterns. Mr. Sagar later inspected the pace of work on the prestigious KZP and Syed Mirakhshah road projects. He directed the officers to ensure that these are completed with the shortest possible time and so that better mobility and de-congestion of traffic is ensured in the old city Srinagar. The Minister also directed the officers to ensure that adequate compensation is provided to the people whose structures are acquired during the road widening. He said that regular High Level Committee (HLC) meetings should be held for early disposal of the compensation cases. Mr. Sagar also visited Nowpora, Khanyar, Rainawari and other areas of the city and directed the concerned officers to ensure that drainage system, availability of water is ensured. He asked the officers undertake the repair works of any essential service as soon as possible.
