Thanksgiving ~ by Darleen Dorenkamper T for turkey, table spread with favorite foods, talking with family gathered H is for home, health, happiness, hope and holiday fun anticipated A is for Autumn’s leaves, fallen crunchy browns, and a flurry of snow to cover it clean N is for nice things remembered, and never-ending laughter around the laden table K is for a kitchen, bustling with activity from the time gravy is made and pies sliced S is for simple pleasures, sights and sounds which bring us each personal joy G is for the gathering of family, good food, good fun, and the goodness that life brings I is for the interesting splendor of a sunny day or clouds reshaping in the sky V is for valor of our ancestors, coming to a new land and fighting for our freedoms I is for impossibilities to be conquered with the support and love of family N is for neighbors always there to lend a hand or a caring heart on a troubling day G is for the gifts in life for which we can express our thanks this special day.
