That is what I get for running around without shoes all the time. ***Shudder*** A couple of days ago something small and furry ran in front of me in the garage, near the milking stand. It grabbed my right big toe as it ran past in a panic, and I felt its little tiny claw-tipped fingers. A chipmunk, thankfully, and not something.....er....bigger. Tonight, I ran out to the front of the garage to plug the freezers back in after milking. If I dont unplug them when using the milking machine, a circuit breaker will switch the whole kit and caboodle off, including my entire kitchen and living room. We hope to get an electrician in soon to wire a couple more outlets in the garage and put them on their own circuit. Meanwhile, unplug and re-plug twice a day and hope to never forget. I came back in with something damp stuck to the bottom of my bare right foot. At first I thought Id stepped in some autumn berries, which Id been sorting in the driveway earlier. As I tried to scrape them off on the porch mat before stepping into the kitchen, I realized two things simultaneously: Id not walked across the spot where Id cleaned the berries, and this thing that was very stuck to my foot was far too big to be an autumn berry. Or two. Or a half dozen. Guess what it was!
