That which you mean, Laura, is the superficial view of life. Because life is: go in pursuit of pleasure and reject the pain. Then, if one loses a son another knows what it is: pain at the loss. You can say pain is not the same parent who has lost a child, like the neighbor who observes the situation. It is not the same in intensity, but the root of two pains is the same. You can eat a cake, although it is not too well ridden by a pastry of great category, but that sweetness is the same as the cake of pastry of high standing.
