Thats how the children from South America are getting here. It takes them 3 months and various borders to cross country after country. And once they get to the American they are still in risk of getting kidnapped by the Cartels for ransom and the Border Patrol risking getting deported back to their country. 3 months and not knowing if you are going to make it across or even make it alive. Theres about 30-50 different trains you have to jump on depending where you are coming from to make it to the US border and you must know that route by memory. 3 monts sleeping on top or lower parts of the traing risking falling asleep and falling off the train getting run over. Some get their legs or arms cut off by the train, some lose their life. There a document you can rent at the video store called La Bestia The Beast which documents all of this, go rent it.
