The 114th American Samoa Flag Day Celebration week was filled with wonderful events all over the islands, red-white-blue decorations lined the streets and covered buildings, songs and dances by various groups echoed from the Arts Festival in Utulei, boxing contenders between the two Samoas at Samoana High School, outrigger canoe races by men, women, mixed, and groups filled Pago Pago Harbor, as well as the exciting Fautasi Longboat Race. The main event on April 17 Flag Day celebration at Veterans Stadium, dedicated to the private business sector, included the parade, floats, Siva ma Pese performances from businesses StarKist Samoa and BlueSky Communications, American Samoa villages of Pago Pago and Vailoa, and the Samoa village of Saanapu.
