The 1st century apostles preached with boldness even in the midst of religious persecution. Why was this? Because the apostles preached the gospel of the Kingdom. They knew the power of God was not in preaching another message but rather the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Signs, wonders, miracles and demonstration always followed the word. They were not ashamed to preach the good news that Jesus preached. What was that good news? The Kingdom! For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ:for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16
