The 4th edition of RARA improvisation festival will take place in Palazzolo Acreide from 11 – 13 July 2014. Since 2011, RARA Festival has been growing into a hub for international improvisation musicians, dance performers and filmmakers. Being inclusive and participative in its concept, the Festival brings a fresh spirit to the region: entrance to the event and its workshops is free of charge to make improvisation accessible to everyone and to inspire and promote young talents. Through cooperative organization, the local population is closely involved and profits from this sustainable project. RARA is the only improvisation festival in Sicily. Still, the Festival has mainly been made possible thanks to friends, family and fellow artists working and performing for free and for joy at RARA. To be able to continue this Festival, RARA will need additional financial support. As funding sources for cultural events in Sicily are extremely limited, the Festival organization team decided to cover some of the costs by crowd funding.Crowd funding means to ask a large group of people each for a small amount of money.
