The AIAA recently announced its 2012-2013 Section Award winners to honor particularly notable achievements made by member sections in a range of activities that help fulfill the Institute’s mission. The Northern Ohio Section (NOS) had a strong showing this year by receiving the following honors in the Large Section category: 1. Outstanding Section Award - First Place: Northern Ohio (tied with Atlanta), Kevin Melcher, Section Chair. 2. Communication Award - First Place: Northern Ohio, Edmond Wong, Communications Officer. 3. Outstanding Activity Award - First Place: Northern Ohio, Young Astronauts Day - Mary Jo Long-Davis, Gwynn Severt. 4. Harry Staubs Precollege Outreach Award - Third Place: Northern Ohio, Grant Henson, STEM K-12 Outreach Officer. 5. Public Policy Award - Honorable Mention: Northern Ohio, Amber Abbott, Public Policy Officer. Join us in congratulating all of this year’s honorees!
