The ALS ice bucket challenge: What is ALS? Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord which eventually leads to loss of muscle control and movement. This is a fatal disease with no cure. My husband, Jason, lost his Aunt Louise to this disease at a very early age. I have been nominated by my sister in law Samantha Hammons and my sweet friend Jenny Towns for the ALS ice bucket challenge and I gladly accept. My family will be making a donation as well. I now challenge Amanda Phillips Holloway, Tasha Wessel and Christy Albritton to complete the challenge. You have 24 hours to do the ice bucket challenge or you may choose to donate or both. :)
