The Burlingame Church will be closed this coming weekend due to the 20th Anniversary of the Canonization of St. Johns celebration at the Holy Virgin Cathedral. All other parishes in the Bay Area will similarly be closed so that everybody has the opportunity to participate in the celebration services at the Cathedral. In addition, a new bishop will be consecrated - a rare opportunity to see it in San Francisco. Below is more information, including parking and schedule. For more details about Saint John of Shanghais up-coming celebrations see the Western American Diocese website:wadiocese.org/opening-council-bishops-news-saint-johns-day/ Parking will be available for the weekend at the Presidio Middle School located at 30th Ave. and Geary Blvd. Saturday June 28 the lot will open at 4 PM and remain open through the night, closing on Sunday the 29 at 3 PM. The cost is $5.00 per vehicle per entry. Schedule of Divine Services for the Celebration: Friday June 27th 5:00 pm Vespers & Matins 7:00 pm St. Johns Honorable Relics will be transferred to the middle of the cathedral and an Akathist to St. John will be chanted before them.
