June 28-30 Campbellton, NB (on website of Fred McKim, PEI CFC Governor: reallyhightech.ca/chess/nbop13.html ) Venue: Polyvalente-Roland Pepin School, 45A Village Street, CAMPBELLTON *First exit to Campbellton on highway 11 Registration: On-site Friday night (June 28) from 6:30pm – 7:15pm Schedule: June 28 7:15pm: Opening June 28 7:30pm: Round 1 June 29 9:30am & 4:30pm: Rounds 2 & 3 June 30 9 am and 3 pm: Rounds 4 & 5 June 30 Prize Awards and Closing at completion of round 5 Entry Fee: $40 for regular members $30 for juniors (born 1993 or later) and seniors (born 1947 or earlier) $20 for cadets (born 1997 or later) $5 off if notification to play is received by June 27, 2013 (notify Marc Savoie, see below) Pre-registered players must be on-site by 7:25pm to be paired for round 1. Time Control: 40 moves in 2 hrs followed by sudden death in 1 hr Membership: Membership in Canadian Federation of Chess is required. Membership entitles you to play in rated tournaments, get discounts at on-line CFC store and access to members-only web site. This may be purchased on site at time of registration. - Regular annual membership (NB Players) costs $46, Junior membership $30 Check CFC site for rates for other provinces - Single tournament membership (NB Players) costs $20, Juniors $10.
