The Cesar E. Chavez César E. Chávez Leadership Institute is an ASU based youth leadership development program with program dates in June (8-14). The Cesar E. Chavez Leadership Institute is a high-energy leadership program for Arizona high school sophomores and juniors. While living on the ASU campus, participants will explore higher education, develop leadership skills, and discover the value of community service. The goals of this program are to foster academic and personal success, embrace diversity, and reinforce the value and importance of community service and civic engagement – all within a collaborative peer environment. The application deadline is Wednesday, March 5, 2014. We need to support the development of such an institute in Tucson and other communities around the Nation as well. outreach.asu.edu/ccli/
