The Combat Helicopter Pilots Association is currently preparing - TopicsExpress

The Combat Helicopter Pilots Association is currently preparing its annual Christmas Boxes For the Troops project. This year we are mailing to the deployed troops of the 11th Aviation Command. This command traces its roots back to the Pacific Theater in WW II, and later to the historic 11th Aviation Division (Test) that was tasked to field test the airmobility concept at Ft. Benning, GA in the mid-60s. Those tests ultimately produced the re-designated 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile), the first fully airmobile division on planet Earth that later distinguished itself in Viet Nam, proving that helicopters could successfully take the fight directly to the enemy, and spawning many other fine helicopter combat units in its wake. We need your help. CHPA is a non-profit military org that makes no money on this project. 100% of donations go for the purchase of components and shipping of these boxes. Volunteers buy the components, pack the components, and ship the boxes. All we need is your contribution to bring a smile to the face of a volunteer standing his post on foreign soil this Christmas so that we may celebrate in our chosen way, safe and warm with family and friends. The cost per box is $35.00. I urge you respectfully to go to the CHPA web site below to do your part. chpa-us.org Having received such a package while in Viet Nam, I can personally attest to the powerful, emotional boost a deployed troop will receive from your thoughtfulness. Thank you!
