The Convergent Frontiers (a) Botswana-Namibia (South West Africa 1 Article 3 of the Anglo-German Agreement of July 1, 1890, describes the final sector of the alignment between the German and the British shares of influence in terms of a line reaching the River Chobe: and descends the centre of the main channel of that river to its junction with the Zambezi, where it terminates. This is the principle governing the present frontier between the Caprivi Strip as part of Namibia and Botsawana. 2 Botswana-Zimbabwe (Rhodesia) This alignment is established as a matter of principle by Article 4 of the Southern Rhodesia Order in Council of the October 20, 1898. This states without qualification that the line (going westwards) strikes the Hunters Road called (Pandamatenka Road), thence by that road to the River Zambezi, and by that river to the Portuguese boundary. Ian Brownlie It has been noted that the evolution of the Bots-Zimbabwe boarder was dependent primarily upon the territorial devisions between the lands of Chief Khama and King Lobengula. The only mention of indigenous persons influence on the demarcation of the boarders. Like our constitution our boarders are not in a strict sense ours. Everything about us was inherited. Good or bad? We cant rewrite the past but we can certainly contribute in shaping our future.
