The Danger Of False Holiness In Matthew 5:8 our lord Jesus Christ stated that purity of heart is the qualification of seeing God.apostle Paul in Hebrews 12:14 used another word for purity of heart when he said follow peace with all men,and holiness,without which no man shall see God.in the words of Christ it is very clear that holiness is an inward thing that manifests in the outward,meaning its inward out and not outward in.in many Christian circles,holiness is determined by outward appearance e.g the absence of makeup and jewelries,well covered body and a sober face.But little did they know that true holiness is spiritual.I was in a church one day and the strange pastor showed the women the picture of a woman and said if you really want to go to heaven this is how your dressing should be(hair and ears covered with turban,absence of shining material,the blouse must be tight to the neck and the skirt must be touching the floor)well thats a fine traditional dressing but that has nothing to do with the soul.man is a spirit ,who possesses a soul and lives in a physical body.when one is born again its the soul that got born again not the flesh.at that point the fallen nature of man is removed and replaced with a pure heart.but the flesh becomes a hindrance to the believer walking in holiness that has been imparted into his spirit,but by watchfulness,constant prayer and meditating on the word of God the holiness experience is preserved.and it affects how we think,what we say and our appearance aswell. Now what happens to a person after been deceived that holiness is just outward?he or she would be disappointed in hell with no excuse to give for their ignorance.my people perish because they lack knowledge. A lot of people are in hell as i speak because when they read Galatians 5:19-21 they were just too proud to admit that they are not yet born again but dwelt solely on the outward.what is the hope of a church goers that lived in variance and emulation after his or her live on earth.In the year 2000 I was opportune to be one of the counselors that represented our denomination in Reinhard bonkees crusade in Lagos Nigeria and that was the first time our General overseer allowed us to mix up with other denomination in the body of christ,and after the crusade we learnt to pray all kinds of biblical prayers contrary to our conventional one way human controlled prayer.and few weeks later the General overseer regretted allowing us to mix with other brethren because our prayer life has improved with evidence of many testimonies of deliverance from powers of witchcraft.in his words we are the people of Godand that was the last time we were allowed to mix with other brethren till I finally left their.There are denominations parading themselves as the only one that God has chosen and others are serving devils even one of them founded his denomination on rebelion,broke out of where he was pasturing and promised his fellow pastors huge amount of money to join him just like Lucifer did. God is not a respecter of any man,whoever sinned against him will he judge.The General Overseer would stand on his own and his followers will stand on their own before God on the last day.there is danger in false holiness We need to read Galatians 5:19-21 with a sincere heart putting aside our years of church going and empty religious position we occupy in our churches that have blindfolded us and ask our selves if we are truly holy,there is danger in false holiness.
