The Department of Immigration are celebrating 2014 as the 65th anniversary of Australian citizenship. Perhaps, it would be good to suggest that the Minister for Immigration could make this a more important year for celebration. Scott Morrison could pick up a pen this evening and sign a document that would restore the eligibility of Kiwis in Australia for citizenship. In doing so, he would do away with one of the most egregious elements of the 2001 changes. Now that would be a true cause for celebration! - Tim
