The Department of Lands, Planning and Housing today handed over sites at the Buxton Estate, thus opening way for renovation of the estate. In a colourful ceremony attended by among others, the department of Transport and Infrastructure and Environment, the pilot project seeks to undertake significant repairs on the drainage and other civil works within this estate. This is part of the ambitious programme by the County Government that seeks to change the face of this estate among others. However, the County Government is currently holding talks with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) over a plan to redevelop the 11 estate that are in its custody. I wish to thank the tenants and the umbrella body for joining us in this event.
