The Development Team is committed to redeveloping the former Bowyers site and bringing new jobs and investment to Trowbridge. The team is already holding detailed technical discussions with Wiltshire Council on the various conditions associated with our ‘reserve’ planning application, which is now free from legal challenge. At the same time, following discussions with our cinema operator Cineworld and our various restaurant occupiers, we have restarted the Appeal into the original Innox Riverside scheme decision, which features a Cineworld multiplex. If successful, this would potentially deliver the original scheme which was so vigorously supported by local people. The Appeal for the original Innox Riverside application will run concurrently with our work on the consented scheme. We intend to narrow the focus of the appeal to ensure it does not affect our timescale for the redevelopment of the site. In the interim, we will continue to work closely with Wiltshire Council officers to deliver the necessary site preparation and infrastructure works common to both schemes and unlock the long overdue regeneration of the historic Bowyers site that so many people want to see delivered...
