The Drug Coalition, the Idaho Meth Project and the Idaho Office of Drug Policy have teamed up with The Partnership at Drugfree.org to bring a documentary to Blaine County to help parents address the teen medicine abuse epidemic. Students from Wood River HS, Silver Creek HS, Sage School and Community School planned the event with staff of The Drug Coalition. “Out of Reach,” a documentary about teen medicine abuse created by 17-year old student filmmaker, Cyrus Stowe, will take place at the Community School Theater in Sun Valley on December 10 at 6:30 pm. “Out of Reach” captures the issue of teen prescription drug abuse as it exists in Cyrus’ world, and is a reflection of this issue across the country. It was created in collaboration with director Tucker Capps (of A&E’s Intervention) and The Partnership at Drugfree.org’s national action campaign, The Medicine Abuse Project. The Project’s goal is to prevent half a million teens from abusing medicine by 2017. ow.ly/rq8Cq
