The EUROPA has found her way to the North. After a succesful visit to the Sub Antarctic Island of South Georgia it was about time to head to warmer regions. The ship is now heading to Tristan da Cunha in the South Atlantic Ocean. It still is a while away but in June the ship finally arrives back in the Netherlands. In this letter we look forward to the summer and fall schedule. We highlight a few of the wonderful voyage planned. Photo by Ben Pitcher Summer voyage After the Tall Ships Race from Harlingen (Netherlands) to Fredrikstad (Norway) the voyage returns to Amsterdam (Netherlands). The voyage from Fredrikstad takes about 10 days and will follow the Norwegian and Swedish coast. During our voyage we will visit some beautiful places and or little Islands where we can drop our anchor. Weather and wind will decide what our exact route will be, it might be even possible to make a short stop in Copenhagen. Which route we will take, one thing is sure, it will bring us to Kiel, where we will set sail in the Channel and are heading to the German and Dutch Wadden Islands. Our destination will be Amsterdam. Secure your bunk on this voyage! Read more about this voyage… Ocean Sailing Amsterdam is the port of departure for the voyage to the South. Several legs are planned. Among the ports of call are Lissabon, Portugal, Las Palmas on Gran Canaria, Spain. The voyage from Las Palmas to Salvador, Brazil may include a short stopover at one of the Cape Verde Islands. The voyage ends in the Patagonia provence in het city of Punta Arenas, Chile. There are trainees who join the ship on all legs, from Amsterdam to Punta Arenas, but of course you can join the ship just for one separate voyage. Antarctica The coming Antarctica season starts in November 2014 in Punta Arenas. The 24-day voyage that starts here takes us through the Chilean Channels and brings us via Cape Horn to the White Continent. When you join his voyage you will be right on time for the holidays back home. If you wish not to be at home during Christmas and the New Years celebrations join the voyage starting on December 19th 2014 and celebrate the holidays in Antarctica!
