The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) is proud to honor the award winners of the twenty eighth annual IMAGE Art Show which opening November 8 and will be open through the 21st. The Best of Show Award went to Marilyn Cuellar of Cambridge for “Hostas – Light and Shadow”. The People’s Choice Award will be awarded at the end of the show – voting is still taking place. Johnson, Isanti, “Clerestory Beam” Other- Roger Nieboer, Mora, “worldview #11’ Purchase Awards become part of the permanent collection of the East Central Regional Arts Council. The IMAGE Art Show is an annual event open to any artist in Region 7E (including the MN counties of Chisago, Kanabec, Isanti, Mille Lacs, and Pine.) The Art Show and the awards honor some of the finest art in the area. The judges for the show were Bethany Whitehead and Brandon Kuehn. They both have a wide range of art show judging experience. According to Kuehn “The artists in the region are extremely talented and it was an honor to be part of the IMAGE Art Show.” This art exhibition was made possible by The McKnight Foundation and also by the voters of Minnesota thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
