The Ellis County Commissioners Court will be meeting on Monday, Jan. 26 at 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Historic Ellis County Courthouse located at 101 W. Main St, Waxahachie, TX. Agenda items that may be of widespread general public interest include: • Consideration to purchase three Chevy Tahoes — two for the Sheriffs Office as patrol vehicles and one for the Emergency Management Coordinators Office. • Discussion regarding the replacement or repair of the fire alarm system at the Ellis County Detention Center funded in part by a $6,999.40 insurance payment received for water damage. • Consideration to authorized the County Judge to execute TxDOT on-system right of way contribution agreements for construction of seven bridges. Two bridges are located on FM 55, three on FM 875 and one on FM 66. • The commissioners court will adjourn into executive session to consult and deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of the Purchasing Agent. The meeting is open to the public. Visitors will have an opportunity to address the commissioners court providing a public participation form is filled out and given to the county clerk at least 10 minutes before the meeting begins.
