The Embassy of the United States of America has partnered with the National Library of Papua New Guinea to offer an American Corner. The American Corner is a flexible space for educational activities and multimedia resources inside the National Library in Waigani. Through this significant partnership, the United States aims to support Prime Minister O’Neill’s priority of renewing education in Papua New Guinea. Port Moresby students and members of the media are invited to participate in the inauguration of this exciting, new, and innovative educational facility in Port Moresby on Thursday, September 26 at 3:00 p.m. at the National Library. Dr. Michael Tapo Acting Secretary of Education and Ambassador Walter North will be offering remarks at the opening event.
