The FOSTERING MOM ~ Fostering Music On Monday We have all seen - TopicsExpress

The FOSTERING MOM ~ Fostering Music On Monday We have all seen the humorous bloopers of performing children being, well... children, as well as the videos of prodigy talent that earn well-deserved accolades and standing 0s. I am here today - to offer you a post of the everyday child, making everyday music, with an everyday mom, everyday audiences and performance venues - in all their distracting and rowdy reality! My children have performed several places in the last few weeks including grocery stores (for the annual orchestra fundraiser), Christmas parties, church, nursing homes and for holiday visits to great-grandparents. I have included for you here - snippets of these recent everyday music moments. I was tempted to trim out the bloopers, - and then took a deep breath, and reminded myself the importance of the children, myself, and everyone else - not taking things too seriously, especially at this age! Sarah, the oldest is all of 12, Hannah is 10, and Joseph is only 8. You might notice that at some points in the video the kids are aptly dressed in performance attire. Other places....not so much... (hence, the boot described below). This is nothing less than the result of the aforementioned, very busy, everyday mom! :) Parents and teachers everywhere might enjoy a knowing snicker at a little sibling moment - when at 5:01, big sisters boot nudges, little brother to play. Little brother firmly stands his ground, against boot and big sister, refusing to play for some reason (even though hes perfectly capable!). Alas - the music carries on! HA HA! You gotta love it when their halo is somehow untangled from their horns! I sincerely hope my sharing of this inspires more everyday families, with everyday kids, everyday sibling rivalries, everyday parents and everyday teachers to make more everyday music! It is after all - bloopers, boots and all - an extra-ordinary gift!) The point? It doesnt have to be pitiful, prodigy - or perfect - to be worth it! :) Merry Christmas! https://youtube/watch?v=CcKrelyKPjM
