The Fight is Over, Victory is won. Some people think that Jesus - TopicsExpress

The Fight is Over, Victory is won. Some people think that Jesus and the devil are always confronting and fighting each other. But when I read my Bible, I don’t see fights between the two. What I see is the devil having to flee whenever he encounters Jesus! Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD shall cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you; they will come out against you one way and will flee before you seven ways. Even when Jesus was weak from hunger, He allowed Satan to tempt Him 3 times, but when He commanded Satan to go......he had to leave... Matthew 4:10-11 Then Jesus said to him, Go, Satan! For it is written, YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND SERVE HIM ONLY. 11Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and began to minister to Him. Or consider the demoniac from the country of the Gadarenes in Luke 8. The demons in the man begged Jesus not to torment them or send them into the abyss, but to permit them to enter a herd of swine nearby. Luke 8:26-33 Then they sailed to the country of the Gerasenes, which is opposite Galilee. 27 And when He came out onto the land, He was met by a man from the city who was possessed with demons; and who had not put on any clothing for a long time, and was not living in a house, but in the tombs. 28 Seeing Jesus, he cried out and fell before Him, and said in a loud voice, What business do we have with each other, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me. 29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had seized him many times; and he was bound with chains and shackles and kept under guard, and yet he would break his bonds and be driven by the demon into the desert. 30 And Jesus asked him, What is your name? And he said, Legion ; for many demons had entered him. 31 They were imploring Him not to command them to go away into the abyss. 32 Now there was a herd of many swine feeding there on the mountain; and the demons implored Him to permit them to enter the swine. And He gave them permission. 33 And the demons came out of the man and entered the swine; and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned. So You see, There is no Fight.. Because neither Satan nor his demons can stand before Jesus. They may be able to torment people for a while, but when Jesus comes on the scene, they know that that is the end of their stay. They will have to flee! All it took was just one word from Jesus, and the entire legion of demons had to come out of the man and flee into the swine. As a Born Again Believer, YOU have a spiritual fragrance which evil spirits can detect and it causes them to tremble. It is the Indwelling Holy Spirit, inside you. And He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4-6 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. That is why no curse, spell, accusation, scandal or destruction planned against you can succeed. Your enemies may come against you one way, but the Lord will confuse them and cause them to flee before you seven ways! Jesus paid with His life to give you this Victory over your enemies. My friend, Jesus’ enemies were united and thought that they had “victory” over Him. But it was all in Gods Plan, and Jesus the Christ......He triumphed over all by Obedience to the Father, through death on the Cross and by rising in Resurrection on the 3rd day. And because you through Gods Grace, believe in all that Jesus has done. The Holy Spirit lives in you and all of your enemies will be scattered and you will have Victory over them! https://youtube/watch?v=_6vI_Y-VUf0
