The First ChewSock Film Festival: "This year, there will be another option: the first ChewSock Film Festival 추석영화제, which will be held on September 18 and 19 at Artnine Cinema near Isu-Chongsin University subway station. Organized by Samuel Lorca, an expat from France, the festival will screen 13 feature films and a selection of short films on two different screens, and all films will be subtitled in English. The selection represents a range of different styles, from mainstream works like The Berlin File 베를린and How to Use Guys with Secret Tips 남자사용설명서 to acclaimed independent films such as Sleepless Night 잠 못 드는 밤, Nobody’s Daughter Haewon 누구의 딸도 아닌 해원, The Weight 무게, and Barbie 바비. Documentary Nora Noh노라노 introduces one of Korea’s pioneering fashion designers; animated film Green Days 소중한 날의 꿈 provides a nostalgic look at growing up in a rural Korean town; and Super Virgin 숫호구 is a zero-budget SF film that is complicated to describe, but very funny."
