The Florida Keys Concert Association Announces its 2014 Concert Season The Florida Keys Concert Association announced the program for its 45th consecutive season of presenting fine music to the residents of both the Upper and Middle Keys. The Association’s President, Arnie Steinmetz, says that, “The Association has a rich, 45-year history of bringing great music to the Florida Keys. It began in Marathon as the Middle Keys Concert Association, and now we are proud that the 15-year-old Upper Keys Concert Series partnered with us in 2010 to more efficiently accomplish our mutual goals with another venue. Those goals are to bring great music to our areas and to educate our youth in the appreciation of that music. We have widened our scope with the realization that much Big Band, jazz, and new wave music can and should be considered classical.” “Thanks to a totally non-paid, hard-working, volunteer Board and generous sponsors and advertisers, our season ticket concert prices are amazingly affordable. (And we are, of course, always in need of more help!).” The Association takes pride in bringing a combination of light and classical music to the Keys at a very reasonable cost as a result of the generosity of our local donors, program advertisers and sponsors – who cover about 50 percent of the cost of our concerts. Since we are a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, donations may be tax-deductible. Our web site, floridakeysconcerts is the main source of information concerning our program for the season, including how to purchase season ($95) or single-performance tickets ($25), how to donate and how to advertise in our program for the season. It also shows the location of the performance venues and provides information about each of the performing artists or groups.
