The Following quote comes to us compliments of Robert Reich: “Wall Streets 2013 bonus pool, handed out a few months ago, was so big it could have doubled the wage of every minimum-wage ($7.25 per-hour) worker in America -- and that the pool was itself the result of a hidden subsidy from taxpayers to Wall Street…Bear in mind they get a $12 Billion–per– year tax payer subsidy in the form of “carried-interest” loophole that allows them to treat this as capital gains rather than ordinary income.” My catholic school math taught me that $7.25 + $7.25 = $14.50. Please bear this in mind the next time you see my common rant that the minimum wage could and should be no less than $15.00 per-hour. And there is the billion dollar stadium being built in downtown Minneapolis. Don’t tell us there’s NO MONEY or that were going broke !!!!
