The French Corner Cafe in Pakington St Geelong took out the State cafe title last year....so we sent in some new judges and here is the verdict. I think that Ive fallen in love with the French Corner Café. Im not sure when it happened- whether it was between rich smoky bacon filled mouthfulls of my delicious cassoulet, or tasting the Luc Pirlet Reserve Syrah Mourvedre that David poured for me. It could also have been while listening to David talk passionately about his newly acquired black truffles, and the truffle salt that they have made. Whatever it was, there is something a little bit magical that happens here. David and head chef Mandy combine their talents to create a tiny corner of Paris in Geelong West. Come in, sit down and prepare yourself for a delightful experience which will take you away from a dull grey Geelong day, and transport you to a place filled with French bistro music, fine wine and food worth travelling miles for.
