The Gallup Poll did an autopsy on what it got wrong in its polling for the 2012 Presidential Race. It is kind of interesting that it is about the same reason they screwed up the 1948 polling. It seems they are over reliant on polling landline phones. In both instances it led to over polling of white, rural, suburban, older voters. There were, at least, three other major causes for their miscalculations. Plus de choses changent plus ils restent le même.
