The General Secretary of Cosatu in Gauteng sounded like an abused spouse during his interview with Xolani on 702 this afternoon. Talk of a spouse who would stand by an abusive partner till the worst kind of death does them apart. Cosatus calls for the boycott of the e-tags and threatens the ANC with a voter boycott next year. But at the same time, Cosatu will campaign for the ANC. Cosatu inaction is synonymous with abused spouses syndrome. And Ive got news for Cosatu. They cant have it both ways. They cant Cry abuse but then resolve to stay in that relationship. Only a very depended spouse or a hanger-on will stay in such a relationship. The workers are the affected ones in the abusive relationship between Cosatu and ANC. ANC to Cosatu is like a serial offender beyond redemption. And the time is now for Cosatu to write a Dear John letter and by the time ANC reads it, Cosatu will be gone. But like in all abusive relationships Cosatu must walk, but it takes guts. Maybe the time has come for a 16 Days Against Cosatu Abuse!
