The Hidden Millennium Since we were children most of us have heard the narrative of Christ’s return. As we’ve been taught, a majority today believe the sequence of events concerning the church to be as follows: (1) The church is raptured (snatched away) and then returned to earth after the tribulation (2) Then the is Devil bound for a thousand years as we “rule and reign with Christ for a thousand years. (3)Then after the thousand years the Devil ….“must be loosed for a little season”, so he can go and deceive the nations. There are many biblical problems with this interpretation when you compare it to scripture that it is amazing this teaching has proceeded as far as it has. The Primary problem is that it does not follow the Bible’s chronological narrative. To interpret the events in that order is to ignore what is Plainly written in Revelation 20. Also, there are huge assumptions that have been made about Jesus’ (Christ) bodily presence during that period which would cause absurd paradigms when you think them through, like the problem of Satan deceiving anybody after 1000 years of the Living Presence of the Glorified Christ here on earth, along with living saints ( some who died already) who Cannot die again or suffer sickness. Can you imagine them living side by side with the people who missed the “rapture” earlier who are still dying and sick while watching these returned saints live for 1000 years? Absurd. If that were true God would owe an apology to the people who missed Noah’s ark and were not afforded a 1000 year lifeboat to repent . It directly contradicts Jesus‘ declaration that it would be “as in the days of Noah.”. Sounds absurd right? Well it is absurd because it is not what the Bible says. Here’s the simple and obvious answer from the Word as it is written clearly. First we must look at who the Bible says reigns with “Christ“ for 1000 years. Remember “Christ” is the anointing, Jesus is his Name. The word Christ does not exact the physical bodily presence of Jesus. Revelation 20 gives the narrative of events leading to Jesus Christ’s return. “ And I saw an Angel [32 aggelos] come down from heaven having the key to the bottomless pit, and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent called the Devil and Satan and bound him a thousand years. And he cast him in the bottomless pit and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years should be fulfilled: after that he must be loosed for a little season. And I saw thrones and they that sat on them and judgement was given to them, and I saw the souls of them who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads; and THEY (emphasis added) LIVED and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the FIRST resurrection. Blessed and Holy is he who has part in the first resurrection for upon such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years. ( why doesn’t it say they will reign with Christ forever?….think, this is important) And when the thousand years are expired Satan shall be loosed out of his prison. And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog to gather them to battle, the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth and compassed the camp of the SAINTS about, and the beloved city, and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them.” So, after we read and re-read and digest that, we ask God these questions. 1- who was bound in the pit for the Millennium? Answer: ONLY Satan. That’s what the Word says! Not all the minions of darkness (1/3 the host of heaven) but “ the Strong man ” only ! (“How can you enter a strongman’s house and spoil his goods unless you first bind the strongman?”) Jesus foretold how he would do it. He bound the strongman and disrupted the chain of command. 2- Who ..“lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” ? Answer: “Those who were seated upon thrones to whom judgment was given and those who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, that had not worshipped the beast…….” This is a very small select group described here, 24 elders (seated upon thrones) and those who were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus. 3- Does the Word say that they lived with the bodily presence of Jesus for a thousand years ? Answer: No ! It says they lived on earth with “ Christ” (The anointing/ authority). At some point the Devil is [was] bound for a thousand year period and those persons listed lived and reigned with the authority of Christ. Remember that “The rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. That is the general assembly of saints. Remember Jesus telling the disciples in reference to the disciple that Jesus loved…………“ What if I will that he remain [alive on earth] till I come.?” There have been among us these 1000 years those whose appearance is veiled to us yet they are messengers/ heralds/ anointed ones and (at the risk of touching peoples religious preconceptions) Angels. The “angel” who revealed the holy city to John told John “ I am from among thy brethren the prophets and of those who keep the testimony of this book….” What ? Yes, the “angel” just told John that he was from among the human race once an earthly son of God but now translated and referred to as an “Angel” or “messenger” . Remember the disciples who didn’t believe Peter was at the gate of John Marks Mother’s home for they thought him to be dead? Who did they say was at the gate ? Not Peter in the flesh but they said “ It is his Angel” or post mortal selfJ. And these on thrones to whom judgment is given, who are they ? For THEY are the one’s first resurrected who live and reign with Christ’s authority when Satan is bound for that 1000 yrs. The Word says the elders sit upon thrones around the throne of God. So, to recap, at some point Satan himself was bound. That disjointed the chain of command in the kingdom of darkness. “ How can you enter a strongman’s house and spoil his goods unless you first bind the strongman? “ So I searched the history to see if an event took place which would (should) have been a clear indicator of the binding of the strongman, the Devil. In 1016 AD an earthquake partially destroyed the Dome of the Rock on the sight of the Holy of Holies, ( The Abomination of Desolation “IN THE PLACE WHERE IT OUGHT NOT TO BE.”) to signify the beginning of that era. The Beast’s [Islam] expansion was halted for a time, culminating in 1492 AD Jan 2 when the Moors were pushed to the Iberian peninsula and the last Muslim stronghold [Granada] was destroyed. Not coincidentally ,that year Christopher Columbus [Christ-bearer] set sail for a western passage that led to the discovery of the New World ( “A desolate Place“). Now most of us have been taught that America doesn‘t exist in end-time prophesy but what does the Bible say ? How was the Church kept safe from the beast of Islam who sent a “flood (words/armies) out of his mouth (Q‘uran) to “ destroy the woman who gave birth to the man-child“………It‘s right there before our eyes! “ The woman who gave birth to the man child was given TWO WINGS OF A GREAT EAGLE [America] where she is kept safe…” During that 1000 year period beginning 1016 AD the gospel exploded and expanded almost the entire earth with the testimony of Christ and his anointing in some chosen vessels. Not coincidentally just after the invention of Gutenberg’s press and the Gospel was translated in the common man’s language to be understood and spread by “messengers” ( Aggelos). Remember this verse: “ Be careful to entreat strangers, for in doing so some have entertained Angels unawares.” That’s right, Angels have been among us appearing as men/pastors/preachers/farmers/transients with the anointing of Christ, doing God’s work to help mankind come to saving faith in God. Well the thousand years is about up. Satan is to be loosed on the earth “ HAVING GREAT WRATH FOR HE KNOWS HIS TIME IS SHORT.” I don’t like to use the work going on in Satan’s kingdom as evidence but we are not ignorant of his devices either. In Satanic circles and chatter the Occult worshippers have been praying for years for what ? Do you know? They have been praying for “ The soon release of the beast [behold he comes]. Seconds out people. Get close to Jesus for when Satan returns and seeks to “ Compass about the saints” [Look at what is going on in Government and Society] . There is a Crescendo coming in the Tribulation of the Saints. Then Jesus Returns to Cast Satan and those who reject him into literal eternal Hell. A single event with no lifeboats “AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH.” This doctrine is not a new thing. The gospels all speak of “The day” and “The return of the Lord” , always in the singular as a “thief in the night” and “as it was in the day of Noah”…….a ONE TIME EVENT. The OT pattern for us to understand. “ In the which the heavens shall be on fire and the earth will melt with fervent heat.”………. “And behold I saw a new heaven and a new earth ………….” “ Behold I make all things New……….” Pray and test the doctrine for we are closer to the end than most believe, and the Ark of Noah had no lifeboats.
