The Holy Gospel For Today:...The Feast Of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross The Son Of Man(Jesus said to Nicodemus,)13No one has gone to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, THE SON OF MAN.14And just as Moses lifted up the Serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be LIFTED UP,15so that everyone who believes in him may have ETERNAL LIFE. 16.For GOD so loved the world that he gave his ONLY SON, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have ETERNAL LIFE.17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:13-17 Reflection: So Must The Son of Man be LIFTED UP. The cross has always been symbol of suffering and death. This image, I believe, needs a makeover. We should See it as a symbol of Hope and courage. The cross is the story of a man who believed it is possible to rise above the evil that man can do. It is the CROSSROADS where the man meets God when they do not give up on each other. It is the STAIRWAY to heavenly ideals and the Key to GODS HEART. Do not just wear your cross. LIFT UP your hope. RAISE your faith. Dare yourself to affect others positively like the SIGN of the CROSS....Bring back the habit of making the sign of the cross before leaving your home and before any undertaking. Prayer: God of Jesus, once you freed your chosen people from Egyptian slavery through the blood of the lamb, which was smeared on their door posts. With Moses you sealed your covenant with your people through blood, which was sprinkled upon them and your altar. Through the Blood of JESUS, you declared your presence in the abandonment ,suffering, and death of your Son on the CROSS. When we celebrate the Eucharist of Jesus, remind us of his lesson, as we wait for his coming in Glory.AMEN.....A letter from Saint Paul to the Galatians: I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live, no longer I,but Christ lives on me; insofar as I now live in a flesh, I live by faith in the Son Of God who has loved me and given himself up for me. Through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus....All of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew or Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus. May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world had been crucified to me, and I to the world. From now on, let no one make troubles for me; for I bear the marks of Jesus on my body....Galatians: 2:19-20;3:27-28;6:14,17.........The folly of the Cross...17For Christ did not send me, to baptize, but to proclaim his Gospel. And not with beautiful words! That would be like getting rid of the cross of Christ. 18 the language of the CROSS remains nonsense for those who are LOST. Yet for us who are SAVED, It is the POWER OF GOD,19 as Scripture says: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and make fail the foresight of the foresighted. 20Masters of human wisdom, educated people, philosophers.
