The Honor Flight program is a nation-wide network dedicated to providing all Veterans who apply a free trip to Washington, D.C. to visit memorials honoring their service and sacrifice. Chris Costello created this video to tell the story of the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight, Inc. Veterans who recently visited their memorials. I am PROUD to say that my maternal grandfather was in Normandy in WWI, my paternal grandfather served, my dad had enlisted for WWII but lost an arm in an accident before he was shipped out and was honorably discharged, my ex-mother-in-law who has passed on, but was a wonderful lady served in WWII, one of my sisters served in Okinawa, one sister was at Rosey Roads, Gitmo, New London, Norfolk; my brother was at Gitmo. And even my daughters biological father served on the USS Hornet and helped pick up Apollo 11. I have photos of that packed away.
