The Ice Bucket Challenge involves daring a person to dump a bucket of ice water over their head, or else donate money toward fighting ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Even if a person completes the challenge, they can donate money too. Once a person completes the challenge, theyre also supposed to dare several other people (mostly three) to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge within the next 24 hours. Because of this chain effect, the ALS Ice Bucket challenge is becoming very popular. Apple CEO Tim Cook was taking the Ice Bucket Challenge with the recording artist Michael Franti. Microsoft Founder Bill Gates accepts Mark Zuckerberg’s ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and nominates Elon Musk, Ryan Seacrest and Chris Anderson from TED to participate and raise awareness for ALS. Google Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin also get dunked with ice to raise awareness for ALS. Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos accepted Satya Nadellas #IceBucketChallenge at Seattle all-hands meeting. Jeff challenges William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, and George Takei.
