The Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBA) continues to comb - TopicsExpress

The Indiana State Board of Accounts (SBA) continues to comb through a decade’s worth of financial records in the Owen County Auditor’s Office in connection with an ongoing Indiana State Police investigation into allegations of misuse of county credit cards and theft of funds. To date, no arrests have been made or formal charges filed in connection with the investigation. Meanwhile, the office continues to operate without chief deputy auditor Angie Lawson, who was placed on paid administrative leave on Friday, August 8, the same day officers with the ISP White Collar Crime Unit and U.S. Marshals Service executed a search warrant in the office. “The independent reconciliation of the county’s operating cash accounts, as they exist right now, are correct and intact. The county can rely upon its banking balances and has adequate resources to maintain and run its current budgets.” - Richard Lorenz, County Attorney - From the Spencer Evening World #OCINGov
