The Kotzker rebbe once said, “We read in Torah: ‘He has not beheld wickedness in Jacob, nor perverseness in Israel; [when] the LORD his God is with him, and the glory of the King dwells in him’ (Num. 23:21), which means that the LORD overlooks offenses when the sinner draws near to Him.” Receiving the love of God in Yeshua draws you close to heaven and the glory of the King dwells within you. God no longer knows you after the perversity of your past but according to the trust you have in God’s promises. As it says, the LORD “does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities, for as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love (חֶסֶד) toward those who revere Him.”
