The Last Great Day! In our last article on the Feast of Tabernacles, we mentioned that we would explain what would happen to those who were not resurrected in the first resurrection, (Rev.20:5). But first let us return to Leviticus 23 to see where this feast is mentioned in relation to all the other feasts. In verse of that chapter we read; “Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruit of the land, you shall keep a feast unto the lord seven days: on the firs day shall be a Sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a Sabbath.” Though God lists this as a seven day festival, there is eight days listed here, and the eight day is also called a Sabbath. If one looks on this without understanding, it would seem that God made a mistake in calculation on this one festival, but He didn’t. This eighth day is a separate Holy Day, but, it falls right after the seven day feast. All of the other festivals had time between the different days, with the exception of the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Why is that? Just as the time frame of putting out sin from our life followed the sacrifice of Christ, so too, does this festival, or time frame follows right after the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles. Christ said in John 7:37 that, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink.” This is true whether you are called to be a first fruit, or one called during the Millennium, or called in the second resurrection. Yet, those called today, will have a higher reward, because they are called and have to overcome Satan. Those called in the Millennium and during the Great White Throne Judgment, will not have to overcome Satan, because he will already have been put in the bottomless pit. Will those in this resurrection be resurrected to immortality as those in the first resurrection? Not really, this is where we find Jesus separating the sheep from the goats, (Matt.25:31-34). Those who are righteous will inherit the Kingdom of God, which is also the Family of God! (Write for your free booklet, “The God Family Vision,” at the address on the front inside cover). Those who represent the goats, are those who will be a part of the second death. Who then will be in this resurrection? The valley of dry bones! Ezekiel told of this time in chapter 37: “The hand of the Lord was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,…. And, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live?” (Vs. 1-2). These bones were very dry, because they have been sitting in graves for many years. God then told Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones that they would come together and live again. Though this is talking of God’s people here, in reality, all of man are God’s people. Yet what does God say to us in these verses? Starting in verse 12 he say’s; “Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel, and you shall know I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people and brought you up out of your graves, And shall put my spirit in you and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land,” (Vs. 12-14) Every person that will be resurrected will be place in their own land, there will no longer be different races living together at that time. Yet, they will be raised up physical, not spiritual at that time, for they will need to prove that they will obey God. What does God say of those who are resurrected? “There shall no more thence be an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.” (Is. 65: 20). This not only refer to this time, but also to those who will live in the Millennium. For, the Eternal will give life to those who died young, so they can learn about Him. What of all those children who were aborted? Even they will be resurrected, for they were imbued with the spirit of man at conception. Won’t it be wonderful to see all of our relatives that have died, once again? As It says in Revelation 20:12, “and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” For a child to have works, or even a baby, they would have to have lived for a period of time, so God could see how they would obey his word. If a newborn infant died after childbirth, he would not have works to be judged by. So this is why God gives them a hundred years, to see how they would accept His way of life. New Jerusalem! What happens immediately after this Judgment? John tells us that right at this time that, “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heave and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” We can picture that when the second death came about, through the lake of fire, that all physical substance was burned up, (Rev.20:14). Continuing; “And I john saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them, and be their God” (Rev. 21:1-3). Won’t it be wonderful to be with God, our Father at this time? Up until now, God does not abide with men because our sins separates us from him, (Is.59:2). Yet at that time, sin will be no more. Why? Because, those who are born of God, a part of his family, can not sin, (1 John 3:9), because he has the seed, the character, of God. In keeping Gods Holy days, we learn why we are here and for what purpose we were created. And as we keep these feasts from year to year, we begin to understand more what our awesome potential really is. At this time I am wishing all a great festival season
