• The MAYDAY CEILI was a real success. Thanx to you all for coming and bringing such good food • Special thanx to the St Pete Chapter for hosting the Ceili and doing so much work to prepare for this annual Gathering of the Clans, and for providing the protein and condiments • Speaking of chapters, we had members here from Dunedin, Orlando, Brandon, St Pete, and Bradenton, about 100 people altogether • The entertainment was superb as usual. I and Terry Henson and Lisa McIntire played jazz indoors as guests arrived. Followed by a free-for-all Celtic sing-along as food was served. We ended these sessions with a Happy Birthday toast and song to Susan Pierson, then moved out into the garden • In the garden Terry, Lisa, and George Houston our IEC presidents played the first set of some great Celtic pub songs. They were followed by our headliner band Three Pint Harmony, the top Celtic Rock band in Tampa Bay who put on their usual splendid show. • We took a 40 minute break from the bandstand and had a tour of the 2000-year-old Indian mound, archaeology site and replica village in the front yard. • As the sun began to set, Kimara the Exotic Belly Dancer performed her hip bumping show including a gypsy scimitar dance. She was followed by Moses the Scottish dancer who performed a Samoan Fire Dance. • The evening continued on with lots of camaraderie among the Celts till about midnight • The only minor mishap was that Faye’s Kindle disappeared from the bathroom where she always kept it. • Today, we finished the final clean-up; the house and garden are now back to normal and the garbage is on the street. • Lots of pics are showing up, so give them a look, and we thank those who took and posted these pics.
