The Man to BOO….. I am going to start off this Blog by Saying I am NOT an NDC have never been ……and I have also NEVER been an NNP (I know allyou judgemental) I am a Grenadian. I procrastinated on writing on the Booing of chester Humphrey by the Working class of Grenada and I just want to REMIND allyou…..Ungrateful Worse than OBEAH! One of the Main Reasons I procrastinated is because I love Chester and his wife…They are my Son’s Grandparents…Not Biologically ..but in EVERY way it matters…he Gives Brandon Piggy back rides, corrects his Grammar …lol…….My Brandon Raising Community) so I thought I would be unfair because of how close I am to the person…..But Anyways….. I did not attend the May Day celebrations this year but was disheartened to find out that there was an attempt to embarrass a stalwart Trade Unionist while he addressed YOU the working Class …. The working class that he was locked up and Charged for, a Working class that he laid down in the streets bodily for and DEMANDED better conditions for his workers …… Chester Humphrey has paid his dues to the people’s struggles and if YOU the workers think that when PUSH comes to SHOVE you will get better representation, ….at the NEXT General Council meeting VOTE him OUT… I can tell you from my experiences with him, he cannot be bought or sold…. He is a VERY analytical and thinking man, and would NEVER sell out his working class….but if u’all think otherwise ….Vote in someone who will seek your interest….Don’t disrespect him……. We have seen ourselves shooting the messenger over and over…..in our Grenadian History…. While YOU were booing he was telling the working class…the EC dollar looking Shakey…so study allyou head…..and with your salaries already taxed to the bone if the value of the dollar decreases then WE are ALL on the breadline…..but the Working class was too busy booing him….. In the NOT too distant future Trade Unionist like Chester Humphrey will be NO More….Prior to him was Eric Matthew Gairy…. Who will fight your LIAT Battles, do you prefer you Union Leaders go to the drawing board and come back with figures like 0-1-0… Zero percent in the first year, 1 percent in the second year and zero present in year three…..isn’t Zero percent a wage freeze….hahahahahaha isn’t that what PWU brought back for their workers?....hahahahahahahahahah So what did he do wrong?....... From what I am gathering, the consensus he moved from NDC and aligned himself to NNP? ….ok and what is wrong with that?... Every day in our lives …..we forge and break alliances, friendships, Relationships, Marriages…how is Not associating with a particular group and aligning yourself with another makes you a Villain? Some History: The Almighty Keith Mitchell had his share of Playing snake in Grass, Possum and Wolf…. NNP was launched in August 1984 as an Amalgamation of the Grenada National party (GNP) Led by Herbert Blaize and the Grenada Democratic Movement (GDM) led by Dr. Francis Alexis.. NNP dominated the election of December 3rd winning 14 out of 15 seats…by Mid 1995 the coalition was in serious disarray…the disagreements and struggles for leadership continued until former GNP members controlled most of the party, Most notably Herbert Blaize serving as NNP party leader…the GNP domination of the Party resulted in the resignation and defection of several key persons by 1987. A Far more critical breakup was revealed in January 1989 when General Secretary Keith Mitchell who had previously criticized Blaize for contributing to the lack of camaraderie among senior members defeated the Prime Minister for party leadership… Despite the action Mitchell asserted that because of his tremendous respect and admiration for Blaize, he would not seek Herbert Blaize removal from Government office before the next general Election … Mitchell was named Prime Minister Following the NNP Victory of June 20th 1985. The NNP won 15 seats January 18th 1999 The NNP lost 7 of those 15 seats November 27th 2003 And won ONLY 4 seats in 2008 and again winning 15 seats in 2013…… So Who led the charge on destabilisation within the NDC…who capitalized on it?.....Burn pan or POT….#Utellingme You were at the Rally’s… How many of YOU RIGHT NOW wished YOU could take back your VOTE from February 19th….or thought YOU should have voted differently because Nazim Burke and Tillman Thomas may NOT have been Lying about the state of the economy…or the austerity measures that were necessary…. Some of you left your child/Children with a neighbor and went to Rally….ah hear Gouyave was Massive, I heard you had to park all the way up by Marli Cemerary in the Rain to get down to the Sauteurs Bus Terminus…… Waggie T Rental and Sound had the contract and you thought was MASS…. What did YOU take away from these meetings? Because so far…everything that was a safety net for the nation for the displaced and disenfranchised have been removed, the 2 Free barrels at Christmas time, The Free Books, even our spending power have already been stripped with the drastic increase in Taxation …so we’re falling FAST and Falling HARD…. How many of YOU are in Constant negotiation with your bank or have already lost your hosue or vehicle? It is a GREAT day for Parents today..their Young ones are doing CPEA Exams…but a Pass to go to secondary school for some of these parents is a DEATH SENTENCE…… we all want our children to excel but…Soooo many Parents have lost their jobs since February 19th 2013….. a Child going to secondary school is NOT for the weak Heart… I am NOT endorsing Nazim Burke but as finance Minister he told the Truth…Things Bad… I guess we wanted the message delivered with SWAG….in a small Shirt and Tight Jeans….(whack Priorities)….. So if we’re looking for someone to really Boo….We will resoundingly BOO the man of Broken promises…… I am a changed man… I forgive and I am asking for forgiveness…. Gospel singing/ song service leading (even the promise he made to God he broke it)…. Thousands of jobs in the First 100 days after YOU voted him into Office. (because Nazim and tillman was wotless and they just didn’t want to give jobs to the people) Hundreds of investors line up as soon as he gets in they will come. I will Add No New taxes…. (Just Increase all existing ones till there is NO food on YOUR table)… And the list goes on and on……(well You’all are familiar with them all) So come September …Would your Children be Going to School with Books or would they be getting their Tablet? Would life be easier for the thousands of parents whose children would be heading off to higher education after doing the CPEA Exams today Come September would you be BOOOOing or BAWLING?????? #Randomthoughts Until Lions learn to write…The story of the hunt will continue to glorify the hunter
