The Marriage Covenant: For better or for worse; in sickness or in health; till death do us part. Marriage is a mystery Paul says. It is a reflection of the way Christ loves the church - His Bride. In marriage, we get the privilege of partnering with Gods Love to reflect the glory of transformation. For it is in the loving of others as Christ loves us, that we find ourselves transformed into Christs own nature. Too many want the unconditional love of Christ for their own lives but are unwilling to walk the long road of unconditional love for their spouse or others. Simply put, they have lost their way and have lost the purpose of marriage - to reflect the way Christ loves His Church. Personal happiness becomes greater than reflecting Christs Love and when that happens, marriage is made in mans purpose and not Gods. Here is a man who got it right. He reflects Christs Love and his life shines for the glory of God - even in the midst of his hardship, disappointment, and loss. But you do not see those things - you see Love!
