The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, now playing at Out Front on Main - TopicsExpress

The Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, now playing at Out Front on Main November 21-24 at 7 pm, is a two-person drama set in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. Unlike another post- 9/11 drama The Guys, this story deals less with the rescues and traumas occurring on the streets, and is a more intimate, insular look at two very flawed people and the destruction their life choices have caused. Director Chris Todd crafts a tight, well-paced 90 minutes and impactful story with no intermission. Featuring Arabelle Pollick as Abby and Shane Lowery as Ben, these actors successfully hold the audiences attention and convey a wide range of emotions. Lowery is convincing as a weak-willed man torn by conflicting priorities, and Pollick has a commanding Kathleen Turner-like voice. Go see what is happening at Out Front on Main- its a theatre like no other!
