The Miami Surge is looking for new team members! Not just for this year... but future years as well. Our Pro Day will be held on March 7th at Crossfit Fortress in Miami. Our head coach Doug Chapman will be there along with many of our current athletes watching performances and meeting prospective athletes. There will also be scouts from all other teams in the NPGL so this is your chance to make an impression, meet some of your favorite athletes, and get a feel for what Grid is all about. To be invited as an athlete to the Pro Day, you must complete your GridScore™. Do so at GridReady. Even if you dont feel youre ready to compete professionally on the Grid, get your GridScore™ to see how you stack up against your friends, your gym, and even the pros. There are also amateur leagues popping up everywhere so its great to have your score ready and get a feel for Grid itself. Also dont forget, Grid is about specialists too. If you can snatch crazy weight, but cant string any muscle ups... thats ok! There may be a place for your strengths. Same goes for if your gymnastic abilities far outweigh your lifting. All high level talent is evaluated in Grid. Getting a GridScore™ is also a great community event. Organize a day at your gym when everyone does it together. If you live in the Philadelphia area, CrossFit 215 is organizing a GridScore™ day at their gym this Saturday the 10th. Be sure to message them if you want to get involved. If you are in the Miami area or South Florida and are interested in organizing a similar GridScore™ day at your gym, get in touch! We can help give parameters of the Pro Day so you can structure it similarly and help athletes know what to expect.
