The Monkey Farmers big adventure to go buy hay! Ya gotta love this country! So on Friday, we called and set up a time to go buy hay on Sunday morning. We get there, and the guy says Oh, I was just going to go get it, can you wait an hour? Perturbed, I said No, since he knew we were coming. So he replies with Can you wait 15 minutes? I hesitated and he said Get a drink, sit in the shade and relax. He operates out of a little convenience store and he did have a bench out front in the shade, so we said o.k.. So we each get a drink and a snack and sit down on the bench and in a few minutes he says follow me over to the field. I said O.k., thinking were going to save time by picking it up right there instead of waiting for him to load it, bring it back, then unload it on our trailer. Wrong! We follow him over there and see a field of hay that has not even been baled! We ended up following the baler around the field as he baled the hay and picking them up one by one out in the field. An hour and a half later, we left with 47 bales loaded. Only in Costa Rica!
