The Moonbat Café This is a private/invite only group. We are independent thinkers who share many of the same values and beliefs politically and morally. There are many ways we will disagree (albeit politely, respectfully and courteously) but there are a few subjects that are totally off the table for debate: 1. We dont debate whether there is global warming or climate change in the Al Gore sense. We dont debate whether or not our planet is being seriously harmed by humans and fossil fuels, etc. We start with those premises and discuss what can be done for our future comfort and survival. 2. We dont debate whether the uber-conservative 1% have hijacked most of the power-- in the political arena, as well as in the ownership of most corporations and media outlets. Even though we may have many friends and relatives who are ultra-conservative, we dont debate whether the ultra-conservative philosophy, agenda and abuse of power is taking down our country and our planet in a steady and possibly unstoppable way. Its all about the money, the monetary system, the power and the control. 3. We dont debate that there must be some type of sane gun regulation and control. We can differ as to whether all guns should be outlawed or whether guns should be allowed as a second amendment right, but there is no disagreement that they should be registered, licensed and regulated just as with any other responsible risk to human lives and safety. 4. There are many other issues out there which we can have fun discussing, whether its Woody Allen, birth control, Mary Kay LeTourneau, Anna Nicole Smith, douchebag Zimmerman or PC standardization.. 5. This is my group. I am the owner of this group. I do have a few what I hope are sensible rules and I do monitor these pages.
